lovelokest: Red on white Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition log - stylized dragon as the ampersand (d&d)
Have a lot of D&D next weekend due to Hero Camp! Two full days (9a-12a Sat and 9a Sun to 5p - 20 hours worth) of fun organized by the excellent folks who run the Adventurers League room at Gamehole Con. I'm trying to decide if I should go into the event with a DM in mind and try to muster for that table, or not plan at all and see what happens.

Whatever happens, I'm looking forward to playing We Are Grung! again with slightly more sleep and being significantly more sober than I was at GaryCon. Being a wee bit drunk will probably help me not remember everything that is going to happen and I'm going to play a different pre-gen this time.

My Sunday home game continues to be weird, wonderful and mind breaking. Our time traveling changed the present and we're currently dealing with a shit ton of time travel paradoxes. It is very complicated - we're all (characters and players) delightfully confused, especially the new person who just joined our game. As it stands now, they're the only one from the current timeline.

In other D&D news, I need make the DM plunge and run a game in person. DMs get nice AL rewards and other perks like going to a con for free if you've signed up to DM enough slots.

In short: I LOVE DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS. This game is easily the best thing that has come into my life in a long time and I'm grateful that my local D&D community is filled with friendly, non-gatekeeping, folk.

Media consumption: listening to a lot of the Sawbones podcast lately. Modern medicine is a gift compared to historical medicine! Also, don't drill a hole in your head.

I'm now two weeks behind on Critical Role, my plan is to catch up on at least one ep this weekend. Doesn't sound like a lot, but each ep is over 3 hours long. I love the characters in the new campaign SO MUCH that I can't pick a favorite. They are all each wonderful and adorable in their own way *squishes them close.* I like the old campaign with high level characters and 2+ years of home game backstory before they went live on the internet, but it is so much *fun* to watch characters start at level 1 and cohere as a group.

I may like Critical Role kind of a lot ;D

D&D: Ordered my home game mini from HeroForge! The DM is going to paint it once it gets here, it'll be nice to have a painted mini (all of mine are unpainted). She is a manticora alchemist/necromancer wizard, she's a little dark and that is a-okay with me!

Have a lot of D&D to play today and tomorrow. Going over to someone's house this evening to play and back there again tomorrow to play another three-ish sessions. No online home game, which makes me sad as my ranger is now a ranger-war cleric and we're heading to the underdark.

Alive and fannish again! Mostly about wonderful voice actor dorks who play D&D live on the internet - Critical Role. They're also the reason I've developed a thrice weekly D&D game habit <3<3<3

(I love them all so much and Matt's continued slight bewilderment at still being so popular after 3 years.)
